Does Puppy have a battery level indicator?

I am a new user of puppy linux 1.0.8.I am using it on a laptop.How do I get to see the battery level indicator?Do I need to download and install something for this purpose?thanks.

the second one was what i used to monitor a battery on a laptop i was using. i mentioned it, bill (imac) had the script handy, i made the dotpup. bill got it from he doesn't remember, but it works OK. if you close and run it repeatedly it might mess up or crash. i do not know why. so don't run it over and over. i think it was the 5th run per session. leave it running then?

torsmo is nifty... but it does many things, not just batt. if you would rather make the script (a few lines) i included the source in the forum thread (above) so you don't have to download the dotpup unless you want to.
sadly, it is not possible to separate politics from free software. free software - politics = unfree software.

I tried the Bill script but that did not work.I tried wmpower but it does not give any reading.Instead,it gives an indicator to the effect that I dont have a battery in the laptop!Any other advice?why doesnt wmpower work on my setup?
