Yes looks like the site has lapsed. Like development around here.

I see
woofeCE has been forked into Librewoof CE by Iguleder. Librepup.

Hi, darry.

Do you have an URL for Iguleder's fork? I can't find it.
It seems I've got two left feet tonight...
Thanks in advance.

Whatever happened to darry1966, he did some good work with new libraries for old puppys? I see his last post was in March 2016. :(

Yeah, I wish there was less "critical commentary" from some of the other posters and more "do stuff". It was great when Darry was doing his tinkering. I think he changed his forum name then went AWOL.

Absolutely, we need people who know their stuff. mikeb is another one I miss, helped me a lot when I knew nothing about linux. The latter PM me once after he left the forum to say hello. I should have asked him why he left (probably on his yacht somewhere).

Didn't Darry update Stardust 431 with newer Glib's? As for Mikeb, I too had an email from him; he then went 'off the radar'. A great pity, two excellent individuals.

I last bumped into Darry around a month ago, on LinuxQuestions. And I also understand he's active in a couple of FaceBook user's groups.....as well as whatever forum is dedicated to Devuan; he hates systemd..!

He's still about. Just got fed up with us lot, I 'spect!

As for Mikeb....there was a man I could relate to. Great character, and pretty knowledgeable, considering, as he confided to me, he was completely self-taught.....right from the moment he had a 'play' with a 'Trash-80' in a Tandy store one day in the early 80's.....

Mike.

I have just read all 10 pages looking, hopefully, for an answer.

I am thinking of farewelling my faithful 3.01 with kernel from 4.1.2 and moving to 4.3.1. ( No comments regarding this please,)

My question is, "Is it possible to import the Stardust, grey, blue-3d GTK theme into 4.3.1 and if it is how?"

Thank you but the Stardust GTK theme I refer to is the one that shows, as one of many themes, when you click:

Menu>Desktop>GTK theme

Another issue is that I am unable to click on the picture and get the remaining pictures.

I wish - this is just an example!!

Frugal install of 4.3.1 and seamonkey 2.26.1.

FWIW the same happens with a frugal install of 5.2.8 and palemoon 25.8.1

In puppy 412 go to /usr/share/themes and copy the theme folders you want to carry over to somewhere you can access it. Paste it to /usr/share/themes in the puppys you want to carry it over to.

It would seem that the themes are in a different location on my machine. The only themes in the directory mentioned are " Default, Emacs and Raleigh".

I have searched stardust and have found: /etc/gtk-2.0/stardust which contains many .png files and the file /etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.rcstardust

However when I copy these, in a manner similar to the existing 4.3.1 themes, the theme does not work correctly hence my original question.

Attached the theme folders as it appears in the official puppy412. I copied the stardust theme to Racy I am using and it worked.

The gtk theme only affects the inside of the windows. You need to change the JMW theme to change colours of window borders and the taskbar of your desktop. Menu>Desktop>JWM Configuration> Choose a JWM theme

Ok. I started at the beginning and booted a LiveCD of 4.1.2 to check appearances.

Unsurprisingly it is not the same as my 3.01 with the 4.1.2 kernel. In this install the JWM theme is puppy-default. When I check that file it is only 1 (one) byte in size. Where the required information comes from is, umm .. I cannot find it - not that means much!

The JWM files in 4.3.1 seem to be completely different so even if I could find the file I would need some serious hand holding.

Now for the GTK Stardust theme. Where did you place the files? As I stated above they do not work as expected when placed in the same locations as in 4.1.2.
