Hey, looks promising -
May I ask if this is something that you're considering putting together for Puppy?

I just finished installling the latest fvwm!!! Had to in order to check this out!!!
But I don't have the resources just yet, well maybe??
I'm not working on anything!! I was gonna try kde but Qt as you know banco
was giving us so much problems! Besides requires python!!
and a lot of people like puppy nice and small!!!
I would like to see a medium puppy, like the one barry k is working on.
I bet it does'nt weigh over 275mb if that Barry is very good at making magic
happen, but I will report back, the new fvwm has got a lot of nice features as well, I'm writing of course from inside it!

Did you have to remove the old FVWM first?
And if yes, how exactly did you do that?
I believe that it's the new version of FVWM that Austumie is using, and if I'm right, I'd like to have a go at that, it looks really nice.
Anyhow, cheers
EDIT;
Ok, I've got the latest fvwm (not crystal though) installed and running... My god, what ugly, ugly defaults. Now I guess I'll spend some time figuring out how to get this looking half-decent....

might be easier you wanna give it a go banco??
As for the new fvwm-crystal it is sharp looking while I had it I stripped some icons from it, antiques but classics I say!!!!

klhrevolutionist, I'm in no position to be making dot-pups
I can barely make a bowl of cereal. But thanks for the vote of confidence. I am having a hard time with compiling simple apps, so I'm a ways off yet.
Yes, I found that configuring fvwm was quite a task.... But I guesse that's good, it gives one a chance to get things looking much like they want, if one had the patience and will.
I don't, unfortuneately.
I don't really like XFCE - yes, it's a nice middle-ground, but I much prefer fluxbox. So, when I gain enough skill to make a dot-pup, I don't think that it will be XFCE.
BUT...
Good luck with it.
EDIT; I just came across this link http://www.os-cillation.com/article.php?sid=43
Hmm, I think I just might give that a try, sounds easy, potentially traumatic...
