How to use puppy on two moniters at once?

Hi. I have an older laptop that I'd like to hook up to a 17in monitor. When I run 98se It is very simple to use both the laptop monitor and the external monitor. But when running puppy I don't quite know how to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
