OK. I asked because I've found 'CUPS 1.5.4' from the 'Updates Manager - Latest from Slackware' caused my USB printers to not be recognized by Slacko 5.7.0 PAE.
Agreed. 'CUPS 1.4.8' appears to be the best version at the present time.
