How to configure Google Search to search a specific site?

I don't want to do anything really involved, just add a few words to www.google.com to make the search specific to a particular site.

in search bar type site name as

followed by space and then the terms you want to search

In Firefox, the add-on "Search Site" works splendidly for just that...
