Justin Bieber Linux

#1 Post by sheepy »

Me and the anons at 4chan's /g/ came up with an idea for a Justin Bieber-themed Linux distro, for humor. There's a Hannah Montana Linux, so why isn't there a Justin Bieber Linux? Well, there is one now.

Gentleman, I give you Justin Bieber Linux, aka Biebian.

I'm Sold! =)

Ahoy Mates
You kids are going to get me into Sooooo Much Trouble with this now!!! LOL
It's bad enough that I Testify about Puppy when ever I get the chance, but now I will be pushing a Justin Bieber Version? I'm Sunk! It's so corny and cheesy I just can't help myself!

It looks Really clean and sweet even without the Boy Wonder. It's Good stuff.

I am wondering though, do you think there will be a one that works with older hardware with a Shawn Cassidy theme to go with it? =)

You guys really made my day! LOL

I look forward to running it and if all goes well I have no choice but to make it my Daily Driver :D

Test Driving now

#10 Post by Kirby »

This is just Sick and Wrong!!!

You Obviously have Far Too Much Time on your hands or are a Die Hard Justin Bieber fan. But I suspect Both!!! LOL

Seriously though this has got to be one of the nicest Puppies I have seen so far as clean and well thought out goes!

I am truly Imprressed by all the nice details and clean work you have done on this. I'm sold on it for sure. Now I just have to brush up on my puppy homework to make it my daily driver and add it to my boot loader. (Oh and that picture at loading of him was just too funny! I knew I was in for a good ride when I saw that! LOL)

It took all of 2 seconds to figure out how to find and configure the network set up to log in. The drop down windows were very easy to use and clean. The color scheme and style are very pleasant and easy on the eyes too. (when I am not hypnotized by Justin's Dreamy Eys LOL)

I also love the fact that you went with the drive Icons along the bottom as well. I think that has got to be one of the many things that has spoiled me using Puppy. It just seems like basic common sense to me and yet no other OS I have seen uses it?

I really am Very Excited to start using it as my daily driver now too. I have been using one of the early versions of Lupu and Fire Fox is in need of updates I guess because the flash player crashes or doesn't load properly at times.

Puppy has made me so lazy because it just works so well and never blinks an eye when ever I ask it to do something. As a result I have mostly forgotten how to do the most simple tasks in Linux any more! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing to be honest? The hard drive on my IBM think pad is failing and so Win XP won't boot any more and I really need to get a new one but because Puppy runs flawlessly on it I keep forgetting about it and keep putting it off. Something like that would normally send any other user into an instant panic and scramble to fix the problem.

There are just so many standard features in Puppy that have forever spoiled me to using any other OS. It's so Rock Solid and versatile that it's so hard to believe that other OS's that range in the 3-4 GB size don't even come close to the power and features of puppy sitting in the 100-200 MB packages! I even feel guilty burning it onto a CD because I know I am wasting 80 to 90% of the disc dioing so. lol

I have to admit it's really the Joy and Fun of using puppy because of the amazing Pupplets the men and women of this site dream up just like this one!

I am going to catch so much hell for using this one now! But I have to admit I haven't laughed so hard in a long time and besides it's a First Class build by the looks of it anyway. Yeah! That's it! (now is making notes on converting it to a "Marky Mark Linux version...)

It's Great how such a quirky lil Operating System can be so much fun to use on a constant daily basis! Puppy just never ceases to amaze and amuse me!

Justin Bieber Linux For the Win! LOL

Some small tricks

#11 Post by kros54 »

Another wallpaper and the menu can be quickly converted to the transformation of JBL.
Even some programs have been added instant Applications.

Other ideas: it is not visible to all programs and start to view it.
További alkalmazások=Other applications
OBmenu, etc.

Hi Sheepy., this is working great, especially the live version.

Minor difficulty with installation though.

I couldn't get the installer to finish properly as the grub bootloader wouldn't run. I chose the "simple" grub installer but it just kept flashing back to the options screen.

The frugal puppy525 folder had loaded correctly but no boot folder. I had to resort to installing another puppy to get the boot folder and grub installed.

Then modified menu.lst to reflect the presence of Beibian, and all was good.

new hungarian versions

#13 Post by kros54 »

The JBL was inspired by two Hungarian puplet production.
1. OfficePuppy.. Firefox 7.0.1, SoftMaker Office 2008 (full compatibility with MS) + wbar, which is the key to easy availability of programs daily.
Hungarian Forums: http://puppylinux.hu/phpbb3/viewtopic.p ... c3b9e8b95c

2. Sulipuppy 2.0. In addition to the previous wine, and even educational programs.
