I am not aware that satellite connection to the Internet has a quota. I remember in the dial-up 300 baud and 24.4 kbaud days having a quota with a severe penalty to my pocketbook for going over quota. I have been on cable broadband for 2 decades with no download quota.

Seamonkey browser: click on Edit>>>Preferences>>>Privacy & Securitry>>>Images. Under 'Image Acceptance Policy' tick the first circle labelled Do not load any images

Close preferences. You may have to close the browser and re-open it for the changes to show.

Two decades seems a bit of an overstatement for cable .
Anyhow Your action turns off all images and thats not what I sought . Fixed it with adblock filter rule .

I've had a cable Internet account since 1996. By calculation 20 years = 2 decades. One decade = 10 years.

Interesting . You lucky fellow. Thank you for the maths lesson.
Is the cable you refer to a coaxial cable or are you meaning a telecommunications wire pair as have been available since edison?

I don't know what Americans mean by " cable". Is it your TV feeder or your Phone feeder or both ?

Is KB8AMZ your ham radio full call? I have one too. Well I had one .Its now given to Tourists who come to Australia by the WIA (Wireless Institute of Australia) It used to be interesting fun but Piracy is much more amusing and useful these days. After all if they won't keep my call sign safe for me without charge while I am overseas , then, they know what they can do with it, Sunshine.

I feel the same way about my software ,music and video movies.

Cable means coaxial cable, usually strung along power poles in the alley.

Oh, and your avatar is still the same. :?

This comment relates to the other thread concerning packets charged . I can't delete posts so its doubled up and should really be in the originating thread.

What are you saying . You want me to change my avatar ? I dont understand kiddie pictures so your meaning is not obvious to me .I can't see them for a start

I thought you were cracking a joke . Perhaps cracking is not the right term here.

I don't want to change it but if your eyes offend you .....
Perhaps you would prefer me to leave the forum?
Just say so .

If this offends you then the forum is probably expendable for me on that basis as there is nothing showing that is legally considered offensive in my country . Mind you I have been here for 14 to 15 years and censureship has never been a problem on this site before.

It was supposed to be "No extra bits " but I could not get the "bits" in without loosing the tits . I also could not get the full animation in because of your very piss poor size limits so the mega URL on the other thread is a link to the animated version . Perhaps you would prefer that "Flash"?

So apparently two forum members have put boobs as their avatars. I'm not offended by it, nor bothered (I mean who doesn't like boobs) but....

This is a tech forum, not a porn/sex/ERP forum.

Just my 2 cents

The funniest comment I have ever seen about showing boobs, was:

"They are not a suitable sight for children!"
"Just think of it as leaving early to avoid the rush" - T Pratchett

That's kind of funny, because a lot of kids have seen boobs and it doesn't mess them up.

The comment towards Flash shows to me that april really is a boob

I know why the boobs avatar is there, though: april is offended by starhawk's signature, and is trying to 1-up them with offensiveness. The title makes this clear as day! Childish bickering really, like watching two cats whacking each other over the head, you don't know whether to stop them or laugh about it. Now it's all out in the open...
