ACER ASPIRE E 15 filter failed on CUPS

Hallo,
running LXpup 1606203R
Acer Aspire E 15

I cannot get the printer to print
HP Deskjet 1510

I added it via localhost:631 but CUPS reports "filter failed"
I have also tried with hplip_print-scan tahr64-3.15.9 , no joy.
Any help much appreciated

I removed the hlip oackage and reinstalled it and now the printer is working ! I will watch for a few days-- if the situation remains stable. If so problem solved!

Update : this is now working. It did fail once and i deinstalled hplip and reinstalled it twice and then it worked again. The printer is connected thru a usb rack and is even hot pluggable.
