Occasionally I have problems with my laptop touchpad and it fails to respond to flsynclient because the synaptics driver is not loaded at boot time.
As part of troubleshooting the symptoms I made a script that collects information about the setup of xorg, the touchpad drivers and kernel modules loaded.
This information is stored in a text file in /root. The file name includes a timestamp so that different files can be linked to the behaviour occurring at the time and compared in an effort to identify problems.
Maybe someone else can also make use of this script.
The pet loads the touchpad_analyzer script into /root. Click it to run it.
