I am trying to remaster tahrpup 64 with set boot options.

I want to blacklist nouveau driver.

I tried editing the isolinux.cfg, and added nouveau.blacklist=yes to the append line.

It still has the nouveau option in xorgwizard.

Anyone know how to boot up with nouveau.blacklist=yes?

The remaster script first copies the files for the remaster to a directory. You have the option to edit them there before the iso is made.

Thanks for replying to my post.

New to this remastering.

Finally figured it out.

Kodi hates nouveau driver on my machine, and I suspect on other machines
too.

I figured that you can add nouveau.blacklist=yes nouveau.modeset=0 vga=791 to the append line on isolinux.cfg

I think maybe nouveau.blacklist=yes is overkill.

Do you think nouveau.blacklist=yes is overkill?

How about the driver, is this the one you're running? You didn't follow-up here..

I had tried the ubuntu nvidia 304 update.

It almost worked good, except the cpu use is way too high.

So that driver is out.

So where do I get nvidia 304 update driver for tahrpup 64 6.05?

Latest don't = greatest. Try an earlier version of your driver.

This entails building it yourself, which personally would be my choice.

Might be worth a shot to go with a different kernel or kernel/driver combination.

01micko has built the latest 4.1.7 kernel with lots of drivers which you can find here:

Stemsee also has some kernels:

You can use the "change_kernels" command to swap.

Happy Swapping!
