Since some people have shown an interest in KDE, you might want to ckeck out the new Klax Linux.
Among other things, Klax has a very good IDE for Ruby with good help files. could make it possible to learn Ruby. Also an IDE for C++.

To install klax you will have to copy all of the folders to a partition,
I however had to do this manually errr, as it is not easy for a noob
to do this kinda thing, then I had to run puppy and install grub
now while this may not seem like a biggie to others I am proud!!!
