how to add kernel commands or better patch the kernel?

i'm seraching for the file, were i can give commands to the kernel, some kind of .config in other distributions. or is there a kernel config tool in puppy?

the configuration options that were used to compile the kernel are in /lib/modules/

you can pass options to the kernel when Puppy boots from the CD, or by editing Grub's menu.lst file ... or you can edit the iso's syslinux.cfg or isolinux.cfg, whatever the name of the file is

and than i don't have to recompile the kernel to get these options work?
