pete, raw format is very rare, you need very expensive cameras, as Nikon. Rather than install raw format everywhere, Puppy Linux (OS free of charge) should check if really need for this little OS.
Puppy photographers having a camera with raw format can load it if needed on their Puppy.
Personnally never i used this format. all my picture are Jpeg by my Nikon, but my Nikon is only a cheap Coolpix L320

I am unable to answer.. raw aare huge, because raw.. Not really in the Puppy Linux spirit.

My camera L320 is unserviceable due battery default... I use a Phone Nokia C2, never i had a camera of such a quality, easy to keep in your pocket, as a Puppy pendrive.

In My Opinion Fotopup is much like Van Pup...
I have my personal Puplets at home, (6 or 7), but they are done to fit my needs. Of course, it quite an evidence. Never i should release a Puplet on the forum for raw pictures. We are half a dozen registered members for who photography is an hobby. Perhaps one of them will feed-back an answer about raw format...
Fotopup and Van Pup were issued by persons whose hobby is Linux, not Canon or Nikon..
