I read it in Lazy Puppys post musher.

I have been beat to within a inch of my life back in the 1970's.

In the San Marcos Texas Job Corp.

I thought I was standing up to one black dude. The conversation went like so.
"See this stick big man? I'm gonna put you down with this stick"

This happened in the local lunch building which holds hundreds of human beings.
99% Negro, .9% Hispanic, .1 % white.

My dumbass reply. "You can try!"

30 dudes unload from the table and proceed to kick and punch me into oblivion.

1 black dude. Big as me. Steps in and pulls them off me.

I spent many weeks in the hospital recuperating.

To this day. I am not afeared of Blacks or Hispanics. My parents taught me this.
Them being Concentration Camp survivors. I thank them for this lesson in life.
I never blame a whole culture, race, or religion for some small evil, even on me.

Being enacted while I exist here.

Because mom is on the texas welfare card and probably a wetback.
That is all we need, imported people to go on welfare.
Give them an Obama Phone, too.
Even though there are other countries in the world supplying their countries solely on tidal generators.
Got to have a place to build them.
Most of the US beach front is covered by peoples beach front homes.
Sure, put that thing in front of my house!
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

How about Penobscot Bay, ME?

That Maine coast seems to have lots of other low-population nooks and crannies too...

Just a thought. BFN.

Hello all.

I chanced upon it, but I really like this geography site!
Edit: Thanks to greengeek for spotting the error. I checked, but I think the site is
made so. I get an error every time, but the address indicated above is correct. Just
click on the "closest match" line once there, it will bring you to the editorial page.

Hey! Paying Trumjp back in kind with maps: someone had to do it!
Read the great editorial! :D

It's a great reference, whatever your political color.

Tah-dah!

Hi graceinc.

Mine too! But put a capital F on your word "finger", please. Makes it more official!
It gives your sentence more importance than the president you're addressing when
addressing this particular president.

I wouldn't think that writing "president" with a lower-case "p" would be an error when
writing about d. trump. Also I think it would be ok to write "president donald trump"
all in lower-case, to show him the respect he deserves.

I don't think he will mind his subjects using alternative grammar, given that he
himself quotes alternative facts. But I should get confirmation from an alternative
American spell-checker. ;) As symbols, such subtleties can go a long way!

Well surely the President is a conduit for the thoughts, wishes ,hopes and fears of a nation in this present incarnation.

So the question may be, would you buy the bugger a pint..
I always thought, Ronnie Reagan, yes I would buy him a pint and talk about his B movies and the S.A.L.T talks, whilst his missus threw the runes in the background.

Maybe you would buy Donald a pint , but the trouble is, one may not be able to get a word in edgeways and God knows what his wife is about, she's a bit of a looker, that's all I know.

I noticed a teacher was ejected at Reykavik, think the kids were allowed to go on to the schooltrip to the mighty U.S.A.
He looked like a perfectly decent guy to me. Meanwhile, loads of refugees drown in the Med.
We need to come together more in some way really.

I thik Ronnie might have liked a stout, this bugger may have some designer lager, maybe not!

Thanks greengeek.

The link is ok, though. Please see my edit in the post above. I think it's a simple
anti-spam or anti-malware technique some sites use. I've seen it used elsewhere.

Proper respect to the President of the United States is not about the person, but the office.

I have worked for a lot of people I did not respect or like, but I still addressed them as fitting for their position.

Who does that make look good.
Not them, but me!!!

But when the person in that office does not respect people, does it deserve respect??

The President Trump Sweden issue.

Reading this story seems to indicate it depends on who is talking and what you want to believe.
It seems to tell it both ways.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/presiden ... d=45610077

It also, indicates to me the Swedish Government is not being completely truthful or does not want to find out the complete truth.
The decrease in the number of asylum seekers is partly explained by changes in Swedish law, which made it more difficult to achieve family reunification and obtain permanent residency.
Wonder why they felt they needed to change the law?

Yes!

The condition you change in the next election.
The US keeps or removes the President every 4 years.
Must replace every 8 years!!

Yes!
Only if you are American.
In my book people need to earn respect. Oh I'll assume it to start with, but if they behave like an arsehole, it doesn't last long.

I would but he wouldn't drink it. He's not a drinker , never was.
So my answer to the original question: Never trust a man who doesn't drink.

Ok let's get to the bottom of this.

Why does the World at this time have a refugee crisis?

Let's work on the cause of the refugee crisis.

Why do we have displaced persons (DP) trying to flee the Middle-East
and parts of North Africa?

Does blocking entry solve anything? Well, it does make citizens of the
potential refuge countries feel more secure. But it does nothing to strike at
the root of why people have to exit Syria and Libya.

You'll say: ISIS (aka Daesh, aka "The Kaliphat", aka ISIL), let's bring down ISIS.

Agreed. But beyond that. Does any country have a kind of "Marshall Plan"
for the aftermath? To re-integrate those DP's in their homeland?

At present, Russia and the UN seem to be preparing something for Syria.
And that's it, AFAIK.

Is any organization or country working on a plan to alter or tone down the
conditions that gave rise to ISIS in the first place?

That's where we should start, IMO. People who are happy to live in their
country do not become refugees.

BFN.
