@ Fossil - you’re quite close and on the right flight path in two respects so think Europe with this clue to “your” nearest location:
The Gloucester Javelin sounds right, but it’s not - so think of another English city and most importantly another plane.

The complete answer is 3 words using a total of 17 letters.
