Bonjour,
Further to this topic List all the available Xfonts?, I made little scripts to preview/sort by categories or search term, then select/Copy to clipboard any of the bitmap Xfonts installed on the system.
This pet has the latest xlsfonts 1.0.5 release included (thanks to Médor).
Languages: en, fr.

Add a search entry to filter the items of the list and a scroll bar to prevent the window to have a height bigger than the screen.

Hello Argolance,
when I select "all" the list includes "Helvetica" and shows me a preview - but I cannot see Helvetica as a choice when I use Abiword. Do you have any idea why Abiword (or other word processors) cannot see Helvetica font? Is it hidden somehow?

Bonjour,
Abiword and other text editors use ttf ("TrueType") fonts.
This script lets user preview/select/copy to clipboard Xfonts (bitmap fonts).
