Aftershot Pro 2

#1 Post by labbe5 »

Aftershot Pro 2 is Bibble revisited, and it offers a Deb file, which is usable with Precise (i use Tooppy 1.0 based on Precise 5.4.3). No dependencies required, at least with Tooppy 1.0.

Professional photographers use it for its faster raw converting capabilities (time is money in this business). You can try it for free for 30 days.

What is interesting about it is that it takes into account all the new Raw files available nowadays, whereas Darktable, LightZone, RawTherapee, while free, are lagging behind in this aspect of business.

For older Raw files from older Canon, Nikon, etc, it is ok, but for newer Canon, Nikon, etc, your are out of luck with those free Raw converter apps.

Rarely do we see a Deb file offered by a commercial entity. Ubuntu users are taken into account. The least we can do is try it for free and for 30 days.

Be advised that i am not from the marketing department, it is just to direct attention to a newer product that may fit some needs from Upup users.

time limit

Puppy users may have an advantage over other OS, in regard to the time limit of 30 days.

Try create a new savefile in frugal mode, installing the Deb file anew, and voilà!, the free time could be prolonged for 30 more days.

It may not work that way, but it is worth trying, since Puppy OS are not to be used like any other OS.
