Make a start menu shortcut

#1 Post by tigersong »

Hello. I'm just wondering how to assign a key to the "start menu" (for want of a better term) in the latest version of FatDog64. Any help is appreciated.

Hello tigersong.

I tried FatDog64 only once. (Shame on me, shame, shame!)

I can't remember precisely, but if FatDog64 has jwm as its window
manager (yikes!), you should find your happiness (relative to your
question!) :) by hitting the Ctrl-Escape hot key combo.

The jwm configuration should have this hot-key combo already assigned,
in file /root/.jwm/jwmrc-personal; so, no need to fiddle around.

In case it's not assigned in the jwm for FatDog64, In my DPupStretch7,
it's at line 136, towards the bottom of that config file, among the "key
masks" section, as

Code: Select all

<Key mask="C" key="Escape">root:3</Key>
Copy and paste from here as needed.

IHTH. BFN.

Thanks very much! I'll find out which window manager Fatdog uses momentarily... I hope.
