Use Jampa it will be perfect, unless you don't like Java.

pour danser sur des chants québecois faut pas avoir deux jambes de bois. For our passengers no having time to spend to get music playing,

whatever the Puppy the passenger is flying on.

Nevertheless, i will give a chance to Musher0's scripts , not when he is hardly programming, because he does not like users and their silly questions, but when i'll see he has finished the job.
however i find that there are some catégories where Puppy is so rich that is no need to create something else. Juke-boxes of the past works, Java ones will play songs whatever the Puppy the passenger is flying on.
We need video players, that is missing. Devs, here you can fill an huge hole in our menu Mutimedia. It's the same as jukebox, but they launch movies, not songs.

Sigh - you mean your silly questions.

Thanks, Robert123. But leave it at that. You don't need to pick up the glove.

pelo wants to pick up a fight with me right now because I told him to
buzz off on Médor's icewm thread in the French section.

What we sorely need on this forum is a strategy to get pelo to "eat his
feet", not just put one or the other in his mouth all the time.

Like the snake in the proverb / tale who finally starts eating its tail and
as a result all the villagers have some peace.

@pelo
BTW, pelo, you're not up to date. I've come up with a simpler / lighter
solution, using the Sound eXchange (aka soX) utility instead of mplayer.
The two scripts are here

Also, we don't need more video players: xine, gxine, vlc, mplayer, mpv
are enough of a choice IMO.

Finally, I love users, just not the "borderline-troll" kind of user that you are.

BFN.

I was asking nothing to robert 123.

"You don't need to pick up the glove" I had nothing to do with Robert123. He came and post here just to post silly remarks about me.. I had no gloves at all.
If only boring me, no need to post. He went once in forum francophone, just for that, not for help. Sure he caught some virus there. About choosing users, they are not a lot, you should be less nervous with them ... You have one you can trust : Robert.
Moc is better. For Dpup Strectc. Why ? Robert123 will tell you.

What annoys me Mush is his totally untrue things he says about Developers and their projects - he likes to change his quotes afterwards too.

As for nearly being a borderline troll, he is a troll - end of.:(

the only thing i ever asked to devs is not to leave the boat without informing passengers on board.. Some devs ask for this freedom, i know. But they are not many, by chance. Most of them have a gentlemen attitude. I don't fear to tell my opinion.
But there it was not the subject. The subject has been closed : no personal attacks. So please stop.

It doesn't have mplayer installed so I should switch over to slacko.
It's rather odd that it won't install a pet package. I'll try again and report.

I mentioned yaf-splash because if the options aren't compatible, then
older versions of Puppy linux will just ignore the line of code and
continue on with the rest of program.

Try running your program on Precise puppy for instance.
