Device detection Lucid528 vs Tahr6.0 CE Subject description: Lucid detects arrow-key phone as USB but Tahr as 3g modem. |

Lucid detects arrow-key phone as usb but Tahr as 3g modem.
The phone is a Lanix. I guess is not that simple to inject the system part responsible for device detect from the Lucid to Tahr build, since the latter is based in ubuntu, but just asking...
I´d want to let a working portable os in his little phone to my little brother.

First, Tahrpup 6.0 is buggy.
The latest version is Tahrpup 6.0.6

Tahrpup.
Are you sure it is not detecting the phone as both?

Are you saying you want to put Tahrpup on the phone as an operating system?
Puppy is not designed for phones as an OPS.

First of, i´m sorry, the actual Tahr version is Tahr-6.0.2_noPAE, but i can tell about its bugs as well.
Also sorry for the misunderstanding, obviously in this case the phone is just working as the adaptor SD2USB, but for that i would need the puppy to detect it as an storage drive which is what Lucid does, but Tahr detects it as 3g modem and it doesn´t mount.
I´m gonna try 6.0.6 and tell you what happens

The file /etc/udev/rules.d/41-usb_modeswitch-puppy.rules is maybe causing the problem. Either delete it or move it somewhere else.
