Hello zagreb999.

Some years ago, I read a little bit about the DjaVu format, which is an
alternative to the PDF format. Ref.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DjVu

But djavudigital ? Never heard of it. You have an URL for it? Perhaps
you can explain to us briefly what it is?

TIA.

The program djvudigital is one of the tools (executables) in the djvulibre package.
I believe it is a script (not an ELF binary).
I recently compiled this package because I wanted to add djvu support to my evince document viewer. I managed to do this successfully.

I didn't try to use any of the executable tools because I only needed the library, so the answer to the initial question is that I have not tried to use djvudigital. Recent Slackos do have it included. Documentation says that you would need the dependency ghostscript driver as well.
