QuirkyXerus64-8.3

#1 Post by Duprate »

I use Puppy Linux as my preferred operating system from version 528, going through all versions until I get to SlackoPup that for more than a year was my only system.
Lately, I've used Slacko64 6.3.2 and Slacko64 6.9.9.9 but both had trouble running browsers officers in their latest versions. I believe that we should not be restricted to secondary web browsers and that every "child of God" have the right to watch movies on NETFLIX or other services made available on the Internet.

I started using XenialPup64 7.0.8.5 which supports all browsers but the high point was reached when I installed the QuirkyXerus64-8.3 by Barry Kauler. In three days of use, it became "my battle OS".
After customizations and installation of packages of my interest, it has become a perfect system for my needs.

I installed the following 64-bit packages indispensable for my use: Edit-SFS-2.16, pwidgets-2.5.8.pet, firewallstatus-0.7.pet,
UExtract-3.10.pet, makepet-1.1.pet, pulseaudio_8.0-0.pet, Thermo CPU, ClamAV-0.9.9-x86_64, Gnumeric Spreadsheet 1.10.17.pet,
AlsaPlayer-0.99.81-x86_64.pet, Grub4DosConfig v.1.9.2, Gimp_2.8.16-x86_64.pet, and Stellarium_0.14.3-1-x86_64.pet

All are working perfectly (some were downloaded by the Puppy Package Manager, many packages and with the Makepet transformed
on a .pet!

I wish good luck to the developers and collaborators of Puppy Linux and, follow the Master!
He may have retired but "Who was King never loses his majesty!"
Congratulations to Barry Kauler, for your latest work!
