One of the options of petget is to install tarballs & stuff..
Tried it out a few times & I think that it causes my list of installed downloads to
disappear. So no longer have the option then to uninstall (or remove) them.
Only way I can do it then is to re-install, then installed dotpup appear again, in right column (in petget manger) & can then uninstall (or remove).
Would like to sort that out before fiddling further with installing tarballs & stuff.
Dunno what's going on or what is causing my installed items, to dissapear from the installed petget manager list, I think after fiddling with a tarball.& then rebooting.
All installed items are still there.
thx
Messed up my petget manager..few times now..

PETget cannot install just any old tarball, only PupGet packages, which have '.tar.gz' extension. Slackware tarball must be converted to '.pet' first.
Eventually I will phase out support of PupGets, screen out everything except '.pet' packages.
Note, if your /root/.packages/livepackages.txt file has become corrupted,
Puppy 2.14-final will regenerate it if it is zero-bytes in size. So, delete
the file, run
# touch /root/.packages/livepackages.txt
# petget
...and a correct livepackages.txt should have been recreated.
