Hello all.

I have posted a CLI WM switcher here. It's a bit irreverent ;), but it does the job.

With the technique I use, it's actually a CLI app in its own window, a "quasi-GUI
app", as I like to call them. The only hindrance, for some anyway, is that one has
to type in his/her choice -- you can't click it.

I think this "quasi-GUI" script rounds up the subject of WM switchers nicely, in
addition to the restart*.desktop files that will incorporate in the Utility section of any
WM menu, including jwm, and the special add-ons to the menus of waimea
and icewm. (Please see my posts above.)

I did look at 01micko's X-Dialog/GTK script, but will not attempt anything, for two
reasons:
-- 1) that "language" is beyond my expertise;
-- 2) that script is the work of our boss...

I would feel very awkward editing anything from Mick Amadio. Similarly, I have
refrained from editing anything from BarryK. It's a form of respect. If it had only
needed a wrapper, perhaps I would have ventured. But alter the core of a script
written by one of those two masters of Puppy Linux? No.

IMO, the best course of action would be that Mick bring back his WM switcher
script on his drawing table to edit and complement it.

So... we are back discussing the wonderful features of the waimea window
manager, yes? :)

Hello all.

It didn't strike me before, but I think the WM waimea favors shading over minimizing.

If you look at the right of the title bar of a waimea window, there is no minimize button.
You have a mazimize button and a close button. To minimize, you have to click on the
icon or entry of the window in the tray bar.

However, double-click the title bar of the window and zzzoooppp, it becomes shaded.
Double-click the title bar again, and the regular window is back.
