I have down loaded 2 ISO versions, burned both to CD's. Both cds boot fine on the internal cd drive on my laptop (usually an XP machine). But I encounter the error message "ERROR, cannot find Puppy on 'idecd' boot media" when I boot from an external USB CD. The identical error occurs on my laptop and an eBox 3800 (the intended target).
I have tried the various boot options on the boot screen, with no luck.
Can anyone point to a solution?
Thanks
Greg

cannot find Puppy
A little further looking in this forum shows me:
1. I need to overide the boot process using "puppy PMEDIA=usbcd". This does not solve the problem though - on either of the 2 machines.
2. this error message (cannot find Puppy on 'usb...' boot media) has been reported in several other posts, none of which appears to come to a solution.
I see that Shagbag has a topic "USB Puppy boot problems: .." that is pursuing what appears to be same problem. I will transfer my attention there.
