Hello Kosta!

Do you have any plans to upgrade to the latest version on the latest puppy?

Greetings from Athinae

I cant run playonlinux on my puppy installation... why???

#26 Post by JdiEgo007 »

So I just installed Slacko64 - Puppy 6.3.0 and I was following the instructions from another topic and im clueless about whats going on w/Puppy -_- can anybody help me? Im new to Puppy... So... I cant run playonlinux on my puppy installation... why???
I have a Samsung mini laptop N-150P, and the puppy installation method was full (like any other linux distribution): Slacko64 Puppy 6.3.0

The playonlinux version and the installation procedure its from this post: "How to install playonlinux on the puppy linux" (Yeah, this one)

And if i go to the console (urxvt) i get the following:

#playonlinux
Looking for python... 2.7.5 - traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/playonlinux/python/check_python.py", line 1, in <module>
import os, wxversion
Import error: no module named wxversion

The funny thing is that Python 2.7.5 x86_64 its already installed -_-

Do you guys need any other info about it?

You're missing wxpython, open the ppm and type it into the find box.

PlayonLinux 'Cannot find convert from ImageMagick'

#29 Post by 01101001b »

All night long but finally I found the problem (and the solution).

Playonlinux installed smoothly via PPM. Then it required installation of Imagemagick. No problem here either. However this time I stumped by a "novelty", an error message from Playonlinux:

"Convert not found (install Imagemagick)"

Long story short: It happened 'convert' utility now is called "convert-im6" and clearly Playonlinux couldn't 'find' it :-/

"convert-im6" is in /usr/bin, so I created a symbolic link there called "convert", pointing to "convert-im6" and that's it.

ln -s /usr/bin/convert-im6 /usr/bin/convert

Problem solved :-)

creativecloud.sh requires PlayOnLinux

Thanks to labbe5's prodigious searching of the Web for useful applications, there appears to be a good reason to use PlayOnLinux rather than either Wine or Wine-portable. See, http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 752#980752
