This is Puppy.
Puppy is not a normal Linux OPS.
A lot of stuff is done the Puppy way.

So, by your reasoning.
The more you use a format the buggier it will be :!:

Could it be that ext3 has been around, long enough, for most all of the bugs have been fixed. :!:
Nothing new to find!!
Limitations

In 2008, the principal developer of the ext3 and ext4 file systems, Theodore Ts'o, stated that although ext4 has improved features, it is not a major advance, it uses old technology, and is a stop-gap.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

In 2008, the principal developer of the ... stop-gap.
This was 10 years ago.

Do what you want, but in my experience ext4 is more stable and - in case of a crash - much faster.

Anyway, back to the problem:

Ich got another wifi-card: ATHEROS AR5006XS G+ 108 Mbit/s MINI PCI WLAN-Karte. Works out of the box.

RemarK: Intel-Laptops do not work with Intel-Wifi-cards ...
