Anybody knows the MC (Midnight Commander) App?

#1 Post by kuman11 »

Anybody knows the MC (Midnight Commander) App? It seems good for copying files though I can't copy from a usb HD to usb sticks with Fat32 FS. I can't change the permission. To modify it from owner to all. It says - perm. denied.

With them both plugged in do a "lsusb" in a terminal and post result .
Also go to /etc/ and find the files mtab and fstab, and copy and post contents here .

What specific Puppy version you using????
How did you get Midnight Commander?

I assume the drives are all mounted?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

I installed a Puppy so I'll have to postpone dealing with files in GPL for now.

Musher0 would answer if you ask him in is version topic. From my side, i don't see very well the difference between all these file managers.
