is ndiswrapper installed already ?

#1 Post by mawhite30 »

need help with setup ...
first my laptop is about 7yr old HP with belkin 54G -
I've got the doze driver - setup network gives option to load many things
which if I read right are all desktop based plug in ethernet cards - then at page top is load windows driver (with ndiswrapper) I give location of driver and that appears to install OK (basically seems to copy to certain location) and then ndiswrapper just gives error with no explanation "can't load" - then back on setup window listed that no modules are loaded - I can't find help on ndiswrapper among help pages nor can I find which version ndiswrapper is in system - I've only got "basic" puppy - do I need Unleashed or a more comprehensive set of drivers from somewhere ? Do I need some sort of iwconfig ? can I check the wifi card is working correctly ?
thanks for any ideas.
