Puppy 2.13 fails to detect ethernet card Puppy 2.11 does !

#1 Post by slapshot »

Hi everybody,

I'm having some troubles with Puppy 2.13 on an old pc. I tried 3 pci ethernet lan card (3com, d-link and realtek chip) but 2.13 does not see any active ethernet interface. Autoprobing does not solve the problem.

I tried with Puppy 2.11 and it is able to find an active eth interface. Further, I did not load any drivers so no autoprobing and configuring the lan card with static ip is ok and I can go on internet.

Now, because I need 2.13 that I'm localizing in italian there is something I can do because Puppy can recognize one of these cards ?

Thanks
Bye

Do you have zdrv_213.sfs on your computer? I couldn't get my Ethernet port running until I realized it needed to be there.
