INTRODUCTION :

Kocsis, a web developer based in Budapest, began developing ZeroNet in December 2014 due to his interest in p2p technologies and a desire to make a positive contribution to the online community. He came up with ZeroNet, a platform that makes use of peer-to-peer BitTorrent technology as well as bitcoin technology to ensure that users feel safe and secure. The idea is that ZeroNet acts as a network whereby users can access, download and surf websites that are hosted on other people's computers. There is no centralised server and no censorship.

Of all the decentralized web prototypes that I have seen so far, ZeroNet seems especially promising. Of course, ZeroNet still has a long way to go before taking realizing its full potential: the current release is 0.5.5, still far from 1.0. It works... but sometimes it doesn't. But if a critical mass of early adopters use ZeroNet and create compelling decentralized sites and services, we'll get to the decentralized web faster.

If you wonder what to do with such a network, just imagine having a torrent website hosted on every computer instead of on a central server which can be shutdown, Play is such a torrent website.

HOLY SHIT....UNCENSORABLE PIRATE BAY!
This makes me really excited. True decentralization. Finally it seems like we‘re getting there.

It seems to me reddit people do not know Zeronet, and Play, the uncensorable torrent client. True decentralization is already there.

Related to this topic, I posted some stuff about getting it to work with tor on TazPup here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 89#1004589
and some instructions to get it working with tor on android can be found on Zeronet with the link:

Which one may be able to also view through the zerogate proxy
https://www.zerogate.tk/138R53t3ZW7KDfS ... age:termux
but it seems to be down at the moment.
What I like about ZeroNet is that it takes a lot less computing resources to run than something like freenet. The sites also have a nicer UI because ZeroNet allows javascript. However, for this reason and likely others, freenet is more private/secure than zeronet.
Edit: I found a proxy that is working at the moment:
