Are you clicking the mouse ?
Is it a radio mouse or cable?
Check the mouse for a grain of dust/sand on one side of the pickup creating an echo effect maybe?

I don't quite understand what you say. I have a new USB mouse and it works on most linux distros in Vmware. Puppy linux or Puppy linux based distro have mouse problem.
In Vmware Player which is free for non-commecial, it is not clickable at all
I need to try Puppy linux in virtual machine before i try on actual machine.

Have you got the correct mouse drivers installed in both the host AND the guest (may be different drivers)??? _________________ "Just think of it as leaving early to avoid the rush" - T Pratchett
