I am new to linux. Love puppy linux too much. Earlier used puppy 6.0.3 for 2 months. Now using xenialpup 7.5. Having laptop battery charge status issue.
So, installed vattery-ibam-001.pet. Though it is working but sometimes not working properly. To know the exact battery status each time I have to go to jwmdesk manager from desktop menu. Then select icon layout, then Desk icon, then interchange traditional or bare radio button, then apply it.
is there any .pet to fix battery status issue?
Thanks in advance
battery status on tray not changing in xenialpup 7.5
Powerapplet_tray-2.5 with low battery warnings and shutdown
You could try this battery monitor and see how it works for you.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Is powerapplet_tray-2.5 working in Xenialpup-7.5? The tray icon status doesn't change for me.
I notice that there a number of posts about this here and there on the forum. Has anyone looked into why it isn't working?

Same Finding Here
Running Xenial and found the same thing. Battery is new. The indicator will only show accurate reading after a reboot. Then it will not change again until the next reboot.
I have tried removing the battery, but I still get the same behavior.
