wake puppy with sd card?

#1 Post by pixelstuff »

After becoming addicted to Puppy I installed it for my quick new PC on usb - but surprise, the new one won't boot from usb! the stick is allright, i tested it at work. So I could use a floppy if the thing had a floppy drive! But it boots well from the secure digital flash card (I can put puppy on one of them but other computers where I'd like to use it don't have it).
Long story, short question: can I make a wake sd flash card?
Thank you! :)

I boot Puppy with an SD card no problem - it looks like a USB stick. I use Wakepup2 to boot into it. If you have a CD but no floppy, just burn a CD as "bootable" with Wakepup2 as the image.

I use SD also, with one of these:

They make cheaper ones also. Here is a 9 in 1 for only $6.99:

You can get 4 gig SD now for $39.99:

2 gig for $19.99:
