Which Puppy for this laptop?

I got a laptop that is currently running windows 7 home 64 bit,
Processor; Intel Celeron CPU 900@2.20GHz
Ram 2GB
Hard Drive about 220 GB
I would like to be able to dual boot, which Puppy would be the best?

You should be able to run pretty much any Pup on that. What, exactly, do you see yourself doing with it? D'you have anything special in mind?

Any Puppy on this page would be fine:

For slacko however I would take a dev version 6.9.9.9 or 700RC (google the Puppy linux forum for it).
With 2G RAM I would prefer a 32bit version.

To get a dual boot with win7 I recommend to let Lick handle it.
Again: find it in the forum. Best way to search the forum is in google adding 'puppy linux' to your search.
I have a win10 machine and that is not so hard to have dual boot, but you can find quite a few threads about problems dual booting with win7 (and vista).
I suspect because win7 is between legacy and uefi. So let Lick handle it.

Just basic stuff kind of, internet, stream movies and music, documents and photos...
I have the tahrupup (hope I spelled that right) on the older laptop so I was hoping for something similar I guess, haha not sure why i didn't just try the 64bit version of it....

What is lick?
On the other system I just have tahrupup so duel boot will be new...

My vote would be for Radky's Dpup Stretch 7.5 here. Loads of really naff features over and above the standard official Puppy, and although 32-bit, I find it somewhat delightfully addictive to use on my Vista-era Panasonic CF-52, Intel 2-core 2.2GHz, 2Gb ram, 147GB SSD. I would recommend it as a stellar introduction for anyone unfamiliar with Puppy, regardless of their hardware specifications.

First choose a Puppy for which help will be easy to get. Dpup Stretch is really working well.. but no support.
RC = release Candidate.
When Final Version is released, then devs jump to a new release candidate..
Mistfire always help, OS is X-slim Slacko.. newbies included.

Yes, no problem. They are not running at the same time, just on the same machine.

Your system has average specification so i think you can run any puppy but I have one question why are you still using win 7?

I suspect because Win10 is not any good.
I have a similar spec machine and upgraded to Win 10 from Win7.
I am very glad that I took a full disk back-up before I did since the supplied revert software simply did not work.
You might think that I didn't know what I was doing, but I was an MVP for some time before I had to give up support work after having a heart attack.
Windows 10 is not really geared towards serious computer work other than Media presentation.
Also the drivers for older machines were often not available. I had to do the typical Linux thing and find the drivers for individual components myself.
Even then you would find that MS wants to control your machine and tell you when and what to update rather than let you decide for yourself.

I use a piece of hardware that requires a very specific version of driver to work properly and I had to find way to cheat Win10 into keeping that driver rather than trying to update it to a version that didn't work every time I restarted my machine.

Eventually I gave up and reverted to Win 7 which I will keep until I die - again

- or give up on Windows altogether.
