Changing Video Resolution

#1 Post by mdiemer »

Now that I have puppy 412 installed on HDD and running, I need to improve the video resolution. When setting up, I chose a lower one (800 by x), because I sometimes had some graphical distortion when running the higher one on live CD. I would like to change it to now to (1040 by x - forget the exact numbers). I want to be able to switch back also in case the higher one doesn't work right.

I have looked at the Xorg Wizard, but am a little afraid to run it. It has taken me several days to get this installed and booting, and I don't want to mess it up! So any tips would be appreciated!

Never mind, I went ahead and ran Xorg Wizard, it was just like when you run the live cd and set it up there. No problem, I got it to switch to higher resolution. I can run again to switch back if I need to. Very cool.
