Start Menu > Seting. You should fix it in .jwmrc to Settings for example. Small typo in name. Slow download. Another place could be new download place: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=52214

Havent tested it but it cant be slower than your download place 17-20 kt/s. I had to try downloading at least 15 times before it went through process. MD5 sum was right.

But puppie is nice. Wireless ok. I liked the app selection. This would be good addition to my youngest son puppie collection.

Well, cursor is big as shovel. Little disturbing. No big deal. Changing should be easy. And nice to see Xnview as default image viewer :)

Puppy 4.3.1

#6 Post by ninrode »

Hi Pri!
Thanks for the feedback!
I will continue testing your puppy, if it happens over a bug, I will inform you!
One suggestion: Make the Gxine as an alternative to XMedia, OK!
Congratulations on your work! Good luck!

The new upload place accepts uploads even without account. It should be easy to upload there. Of course I might be wrong. But please try.

I did test upload and download: http://www.mypuppylinux.com/upload/xnviewMP.sfs and it worked.

Quoted from the thread:
http://www.mypuppylinux.com/browse
username: upload
password : upload
Then remember after you upload the link will be as below:
http://www.mypuppylinux.com/upload/FILENAME.XXX
whereas FILENAME.XXX represents your filename.

I am loving this pup

#14 Post by lopezlinux »

Thanks for this great pup. Its simple and exactly what i was looking for. I wanted a pup with firefox and open office 3.0 and above for both, while having something nice to look at all the while. Everyone is sooo impressed by how sweet this is to have on an old Deskpro Pent III.

Im going to make it my main usb mobile pup now. Thanks alot!

pri, just as the others have mentioned I too really like your puplet. I suppose just as many others do, I too love to try out different puppies and see how they work.

I have a few questions and a couple comments, since I am not too familiar with IceWM.

1. Is there a way to make the window bar across the top (the bar with the minimize, maximize, close, and page-title) smaller? It takes up a good bit of space.

2. How can I add a volume control to the taskbar? What file is the IceWM taskbar? I know jwmrc-tray in JWM but I don't know in IceWM.

3. Also in the taskbar there is a space called "workspace" that doesn't appear to do anything. If there is only 1 workspace it doesn't seem necessary to take up space on the taskbar. I suppose once I know what file is taskbar being used I could change that.

4. In the "Menu" is there a way to have "shutdown" as the bottom entry below "help, windows, settings"?

I'm not sure if you are planning on coming out with an update but if so...

5. "Presentation" is not spelled out all the way in wbar.

6. Flash could use an upgrade.

I love the learning process so if you know how to make these changes I would love an explanation of how it can be done ( I know how to do 5 & 6 already :) ). Thank you for your contribution to the community.
