Thanks, muggins.

This looks like a very elegant and compact program!

But some questions -

Can it be set to single click?

I tried the ftp, filling in the address, username, password, which it accepts, but won't go, saying description is incomplete. I've tried several things in the description field, but not sure what is needed. Probably a dumb oversight on my part; hope you don't mind my asking.

edit: Rename works from the file menu but apparently not from the right click.

henry,

the developer, miroslav, let me know in an email that he hasn't looked at atol in quite awhile due to notecase having a higher priority, plus a general lack of interest from the community in atol. you could send him an email with your queries, as he seems very appreciative of interest in his projects.

Sounds right. At first glance it looked very good, but everytime I try a new file manager I seem to come back to the same conclusion - that while one, like Nautilus has a nice tree, or this one, with its economic but buggy design, really can't be justified in the very sleek puppy that I seek. Rox is necessarily there already, and has thumbnails, eg, that Atol lacks.
