Home: http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/
Version: 2.6.0

Quote:
Sylpheed is a simple, lightweight but featureful, and easy-to-use e-mail client (mailer, MUA).

Patched:
- use mozilla / geany as external default-apps
- removed links to japanese manual and faq's

Could be used with Bogofilter from repos as mailfilter.

Compiled and tested in Dingo (4.00).

Cheers

Thanks, aragon. If we go with Firepup in 4.2, this will be an essential inclusion! Cool

Thanks! No problem upgrading from Sylpheed 2.4.7, it didn't overwrite my external app preferences with the defaults, and it's still the best little e-mail manager I've ever seen. No more SeaMonkey Mail for me!

Its a real nice size:) Just remember to make it a default mail client, It isn't setup that way by default. Just edit /usr/local/bin/defaultemail and add it to the package.

Well when i posted the message above yesterday, It wasn't in the package or it didn't work, because it works in the menu just fine, but when I click the default mail icon on the desktop it still opens Seamonkey mail.

Whoa ... you don't have 4.2a2 yet! I'm the only one who does. So I would expect you to get Seamonkey mail because that was what was supplied in 4.2a1 version.

Do you mean you installed from the dotpet on your 4.2a1 install? The package that was built by Unleashed from the dotpet definitely has sylpheed as the default mail client. I'll check my 4.2a2 test install to confirm and get back to you.

here Warren I made it default, if you install this package on any version of puppy from say 2 series and up by clicking the default mail icon on the desktop will launch Sylpheed Mail Client.
