MP550 comes with three screenshot apps. The e17 screenshot app is in the main menu as "take screenshot" this will give you a full screenshot that you can edit with mt paint. If you right click on the top window border you have the "take shot" option that will give you a screenshot of just that window. This option can also upload your shots to :

http://www.enlightenment.org/ss/

My fav is mtpaint-screenshot screen capture under graphics in the menu . This will also give you a full screenshot but it opens in mtpaint so you can instantly crop or resize it .

Also included is screeny capture windows app but I have never used it.

After you take the shot mtpaint will open . The area select option should be chosen already see my shot the red square on thew tool bar. Use this to select the area and then go under image on the top bar and select crop. you can "drag" the square by clicking and hold and move the curse or you can click once on the pic by what you want and click on the other corner of where you want to select then crop.

That looks excellent! You folks who do all this fine work,
there is no need to be apologetic when life calls you away.
Your releases are like a fine vase, elegant, functional.
and difficult to replace with anything better 8)

runtt21:

It's good to see you're back working on MacPup. A very interesting Pup distro. Maybe you can help the developers work on Woof-CE, as well. With the quality of your work, I'm sure you'd be a welcome addition.

Best regards,

Slavvo67

I have a few more themes to do before I start thinking about a new Macpup but it is on my to do list...... I dont think I would be much help with Woof-CE. There are a lot of really good people, like Karl, already working on it. Most are better than me.

I think you would make an excellent member to the group. You provide excellent approaches and fresh views. If there was a method of recommending, I would put your name on the list.

You should be on it. Please join.

Gave Imago-red a whirl in my 529 install. Enlightenment modules for 529 and 550 I guess do not play well together.

Code: Select all

h-3.00# cd ~
sh-3.00# cd Downloads
sh-3.00# ls
MP550-Imago-Red-1.pet
sh-3.00# cat /etc/DISTRO_SPECS
#One or more words that identify this distribution:
DISTRO_NAME='macpup'
#version number of this distribution:
DISTRO_VERSION=529
#The distro whose binary packages were used to build this distribution:
DISTRO_BINARY_COMPAT='ubuntu'
#Prefix for some filenames: exs: precisesave.2fs, precise-4.99.0.sfs
DISTRO_FILE_PREFIX='macpup'
#The version of the distro whose binary packages were used to build this distro:
DISTRO_COMPAT_VERSION='precise'
#the kernel pet package used:
DISTRO_KERNEL_PET='linux_kernel-3.2.18-pae-i686-aufs-up.pet'
#read by /usr/bin to bypass Xorg Wizard at first boot:
DISTRO_XORG_AUTO='yes'
DISTRO_TARGETARCH='x86'
#16-byte alpha-numeric ID-string appended to vmlinuz, puppy_precise_5.2.60.sfs, zdrv_precise_5.2.60.sfs and devx.sfs:
DISTRO_IDSTRING='p120606100353ZZZZ5.2.60XXXXXXXXX'
#Puppy default filenames...
#Note, the 'SFS' files below are what the 'init' script in initrd.gz searches for,
#for the partition, path and actual files loaded, see PUPSFS and ZDRV in /etc/rc.d/PUPSTATE
DISTRO_PUPPYSFS='macpup_529.sfs'
DISTRO_ZDRVSFS='zdrv_macpup_529.sfs'
DISTRO_PUPPYDATE='July 2012'
No biggy. Just posting info. Enlightenment would crash and kill all modules in 529, I would re-add clock, ibar,ibox,backlightpager,shot,start,systray,wlan,tclock. Then crash e17 again with the red theme.

To be thorough I autostart and run conky also in E17. I am not asking for a fix. just posting info.

Happy to have you back. I am a big fan of MacPup 550. Runs flawlessly on everything I've thrown at it, including 10 year old laptop and even my wife's IMac. One question, if you don't mind. PPM has an update for Precise. Should we install it?
