dual booting from a usb-3.0 SSD on my Gateway desktop.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what 4G and 4G2 refer to here?

Does this mean 4GB RAM limit (noPAE or 32-bit?), or can be used to connect on 4G phones ( :lol: ), or something else?

SSD.

Basically, I have always labelled non PAE builds as '4g'. The '2' just means that the first build may have been wonky so I made a second. :wink:

Did you check the slackware changelog?

You'll notice firefox was upgraded. In that case you need to do an 0setup before the 1download, but in 0setup you really only need to grab patches, and possibly salix as slackware-official never changes.

I built this one around 9pm and I noticed that firefox had been updated, the 64bit one I built around 12 hours earlier doesn't have the update so I'll be downloading and installing your final version.

Building: testing -> x86 -> x86 -> slackware -> 14.1 (Slacko 6.3.0.4). At step ./1download, it hangs for me at "cmake".
Building: master -> x86 -> x86 -> slackware -> 14.1 (Slacko 6.3.0). The "second pass" completes successfully here.

(using Slacko 5.7 and 6.3 32-bit + it's devx as a base for building, in /mnt/home/build on an ext4 partition, if that matters...)


edit: The problem seems to be the new syntax / added pipe in "Packages-slackware-14.1-official". It also affects gftp, gtk+...
cmake-2.8.12... +openssl-solibs,+openssl (6.3.0)
cmake-2.8.12... +openssl-solibs|openssl (6.3.0.4)
edit2: That file is generated somewhere near the end of ./0setup. Might look at it in more detail later...

Thanks 01micko. Tried again after your update and the 6.3.0.4 build made it to the end this time. :)

Random side-comment: I noticed that 7z and 7za are already in /usr/bin (from p7zip), but not set to executable (green), so nothing happens when the XArchive wrapper calls them. Right-clicking -> Permissions on those two files fixes it though.
