Slimboat and you tube : use version 54
Slimboat and you tube : use version 54. see topics Slimboat.
I use slimboat quite often without trouble
slimboat-1.1.54-i386.sfs: 21 M
Take advantage of Qt libs included to run some Qt apps,
Palemoon is the defaut browser in Tahrpup . No need to mount anything.. (?)

SFS on Linux partition.
"The issue is that I boot from a USB drive and I want to keep the sfs files on a seperate external hard drive because I want to minimize what is on the usb drive which I formated as ext2 whereas the seperate external hard drive where I want to keep the sfs is formated as ntfs." écrit s243a
I launch my Puppy from pendrive (FAT32), my SFS are stored on my hard disk, but on Linux partition(ext3).
NTFS for your external Hard disk.. Sfs must be stored on Linux partition or FAT, but manuals are not updated, not sure that NTFS wont't work > tested right now, sfs from ntfs partition load without trouble.
I bought an external hard drive, as s243a, i was unable to format it correctly.
These problems get answers, positive or negative, in specific topics about SFS, and partitioning external hard drive.

Phil?
I hope you are well.
Tester davids45 and I found a couple of singularities in the TahrPup series. I used
the 6.0.5 version and David is using the 5.7.8 version.
1) -- TahrPup displays a warning if not using the usual urxvt terminal and the user
has to press "Enter" one more time to get the data displayed
2) -- urxvt complains that it does not have a full complement of perl add-ons, but it
does show the data.
Ref.: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... ost#915879
(There are screen captures there as well.)
Context: my weather report script.
For the record, no such quirks were reported on the slacko breed (Slim-6) or the
debian breed (pupjibaro jessie) of Puppies for the same script.
IHTH. BFN.

add program to tray
Hello,
I'm use for a long time Lucid Puppy. Install and try Tahr Puppy too. Version: tahrpup 6.0.5 CE
How can I setup the "Cpu temperature" and the "CPU monitor" show on the the tray, on Tahr Puppy?
On Lucid Puppy have Pfbpanel, and setup easy.
Thanks

Re: add program to tray
I think it has a CPU temp already, but on my laptop I have to go to Menu -> Exit -> Restart graphical server before it shows up.trefux wrote:Hello,

To be honest it depends what hardware you have.trefux wrote:Hello,

For example,on one of my machines running a p4 Pentium 3ghz dual core the cpu temp app doesn't work no matter what I use but on another machine running an AMD Athlon it works fine.

that perl error is because he's using an old beta.
could you please post a .pet of the program so that i can test it, that thread is really confusing with stuff all over the place.
