Slenkar- food for thought. You ever watch in HTML5?

I'm using this Dotpet, plus the standard "Menu">"Internet">"GetFlash Install Flash Player", and everything is working fine. Precise 5.4.3.
What I did: installed this dotpet, installed Flash via GetFlash, then went to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, and the animation displayed. It said I was running version 11,2,202,270. If that's not working, try poking around in chrome://plugins and see if there's anything useful there.

I think that GetFlash installs the Adobe Flash plugin somewhere in ~/.SomethingOrOther; it's in a directory Firefox can use as well.

 Wow... something I made made it onto the WIki...

8) I feel awesome now.

Works on Slacko!

Okay, tested and functioning on Slacko.

You need to install GConf first, but this can be installed in <2 minutes from the Puppy Package Manager (including startup time and everything.)

Can you edit the wiki to mark my package as being Slacko-compatible?

Next up: Some serious Lucid testing.

Do you think it would work on Puppy 4.31, jakfish was asking about Chrome for that Puppy version here-

I don't know.

Perhaps someone could give it a shot, and then post the results here? If not, I'd be happy to give it a go.

Please provide SFS format. so that we can test it in frugal installation.

Okay, I uploaded an SFS. I don't see why it's necessary, though. I have a frugal install, and I can test mine just fine. When you want to uninstall, just uninstall from PPM.

One most important use of SFS file is that it can use other puppy projects. Especially in Archpup etc. I feel, it reduce Savefile?

That's true, I use many Puppies as frugal install to one flash drive, along with all SFS files I usually load.

You can use shinobar's Extract-makepet ↓ utility to extract the .pet in /root/ (if you have much RAM space), then in a terminal window type dir2sfs /root/nameofextractedfolder and the SFS file will be created, copy it to the desired location and then delete the file from /root/ so that it doesn't take RAM space. You can also use a Linux partition with enough space instead of the RAM, in fact this is the recommended.

Go to Menu>Internet>GetFlash Install Flashplayer, choose the latest one (or whichever version you prefer,) then after it finishes installing, restart Chromium. Test to see if it's installed by going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. (If you see the animation, it's working. Also, it displays your version number. Mine is 11,2,202,270.)

If it doesn't seem to be working (e.g, YouTube won't play,) try going to chrome://plugins and try checking the "Always Allowed" box next to Adobe Flash Player. (Also, unless you are a l33t h@xx0r (elite hacker) and have the restricted h.264 codec, go to https://www.youtube.com/html5 and make sure you are NOT in the HTML5 trial.)

Works on Precise and Slacko. Will test once I get around to installing and testing Lucid (I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work; if somebody beats me to the punch, please post the results here.)

Hey... I've already released an sfs... no need to make it yourself...
