Wolfgang,
No knowed Linuxcnc simulation for tahrpup.
A rtai patched kernel puppy would for shure be appreciated seeing the interest in linxcnc debiandog rtai..no offence saintless to debdog, but it is a puppy of is own...
Shame on me...I still use Mach3 at home&work .
.but do got linuxcnc debaindog rtai cutting realtime at home.
You could look at blendercam too,so should I ,to eventually "puppyfy" it...
Gsimple look fine..run in wine too..5Mb of disk space.

I included missing libs in Heekscad/cnc in a "1.0.0.B" version.
Made it grows from 9Mb to 34...
report these sfs related problems here please.

hi Vverve,

Your Heeks I will test immediately.
found today the new qcad and converted it into a sfs. You can download it from my dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ho6llzv1eryu ... U0Jka?dl=0

Do you know Estlcam?
So you can conveniently generate a 2D drawing a CNC Prog. I get it under wine not to run to even though I have mono installed.
Maybe this is for you too interesting?

I have seen BlenderCAM and find it absolutely confusing. Is basically exactly like Blender very hard to use. Is not suitable for my application.
EMC I got in my old Linux version already to run. That goes with tahr 6.0.2 determined too!

Good things if you have too much ram!!!!! If I understand correctly
,it works?

About cam ,there are lots of "free download /low cost" cam programs out there for linux , M$ /wine.

I used blender/gcodegenerator plugin with succes on 2/2.5d project.
A nice tutorial for it if ever: http://www.rab3d.com/tut_blender.php
I learned a lots there. I tend to like blender as cad...maybe because i aint got knowledge of $olidwork/Catia/etc...

If you design your plane ,keep in mind ,freecad found here come from dev daily build ,always bring a parachute ...

No, I have not tested it!
All parts which I have for my 3D printer designed I created with freecad! The German communitie of freecad is very good and now I get along very well handle it! Heeks I have looked on Windows and have not been understood since.

Hi Vverve,

with 2freecad-dev0.15+oce0.15+deps_5.8.3.rc1.sfs and heekscad+heekscnc-1.0.0.B.sfs the Heeks will work!
Is it possible to remove freecad from the sfs to make it smaller?
Now all I need is a good introduction for HeeksCAD + CNC :D

regards

Yes Wolfgang to shrink just extract it,modify it ,dir2sfs it .
Or , download the latest heekscad ,
same link/heekscad/heek...1.0.0.B.sfs ,
it should work with 4_5_freecad dev only.sfs....it work for me.

it works and 100MB (4_5_freecad-dev0.15deps_only.sfs + heekscad+heekscnc-1.0.0.B.sfs) for HeekCAD + CNC is ok!
is there a step by step doku for Heeks-Dummys?

Wolf ,
Sorry got no Heeks tutos in particular to suggest.

Of the 100Mb, there are less than 10 for Heeks ,2?Mb of oce0.15 the rest are other dependencies ,Qt,Pythons, etc shared by Heeks and Freecad.

Hi Vverve,

Can you help me Estlcam to get to work?
It requires mono.
It is to convert dxf to CNC programs for me the best program.

Hi Vverve,

Estlcam is running!!!
It will run with playonlinux!
Basic is http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=90396
in addition I installed in playonlinux .net and gdiplus.
What is still missing is to make the whole package a nice sfs !!
No idea how to get the best created!

Hi Vverve,

Cncsimulator and Estlcam run perfectly in PlayOnLinux! Everything is in sfs and will dynamically loaded when needed.

many Greetings

Update Heekscad to 1.1.0
The more i dig in its gcode/path generation functions , the more I like it.
Note: I am only an "online"-self-educated machinist ..

See first post.

Freecad team merge the CAM module in their master branch .
Available for testing with basic functions . Generating gcode from one package is a plus.
Keep in mind ,no stable release here ,back it up often .

See first post(edited many times..and more to come...as I try to keep it as a "main" details/ news/personal memo resources)
