Weird, did you have some propietary graphic drivers installed?
Can you run xorgwizard from prompt?
Can you start Xvesa at least?

@ Edoc

After all this while keeping up with your SuperTux problems, I'm really puzzled. At first put all your problems down to the Puppy 4xx series, but I've upgraded since and had no problem with SuperTux. (Certainly no problem with sound-I've heard it many times ring across the house :) )

That plain SDL.pet is actually a combination all Ttuuxxx'x SDL packages, and MU's Doom pup. I combined them together because a) it was tiresome to install all Ttuuxxx''s pets manually, and b) because some programs required dependencies only found in MU's pup.

The plain SuperTux.pet is the one I normally use, haven't tried Ttuuxxx's or anyone else's pet.

Well, I wish you all the best and hope you have success trying again :D

Is Trackballs available for Puppy?

Perhaps easiest to import (if not already a .PET) for Lucid 5.01 since it is a Ubuntu-derivative?

..for the 'usual' 1.4(?) version

Mostly color-outlines for bosses, enemies, shots and title - I find it's a bit easier to use these. Anyhow, a change to the look.

Extract to /usr/share/games/xsoldier dir (overwrites some originals, so backup the dir if you want).

Or pull the oem files from /initrd/pup_ro2/usr/share/games/xsoldier to switch back if desired.

<font#>.xpm colors changed from the original white as well, click to the left of palette color in mtpaint's list to bring up the palette editor for your own choice of font colors.

Hello all!

Let's put this thread back in the loop! :)

The entire list of games available as *.deb archives.

http://blends.debian.org/games/tasks/puzzle.sk.html
The puzzles section of the above. Some explanations are in Swedish or Polish
(I couldn't say, really), but there are many screen captures, so the page is
nevertheless easy to browse.

Have fun! :)

gweled in cagory 'projects'

gweled is like Candy Crush
Puppy Linux is a project, Gweled is (only) a game !
Candy Crush: all housemaiden are addict to Candycrush . Puppy's adepts, if they had some leasure time, should play Gweled.
Personnally i am too busy to play games with my computer (playing Puppy is enough).
Awfull Unbuntu's users tell that Puppy is a game, no, Puppy is a project !
and Gweled is not a project , should appear in category 'games'.
Please change it to avoid confusion.
Games is the mains usage for a computer (statistics). and old people play more than teenagers. Puppy is not so easy as promised. But would Puppy av some interest if it was easy .
Puppy should be classified as 'puzzle'. Puppy woof is famous. A lot of pets to stick together. Some Puppies are delivered all finished. Break them first, else it would not be a game.

Puppy Olympic games

Puppy Olympic games : our developers could think about a concept Puppy where games would be a chance to retrieve lives lost in cultural questions, as Nintendo , that would be of some interest, not for our Linux team entertainment, but for Children.
