Congrats.

Weird how the article says MacPup is based on Ubuntu packages, but not Puppy (Lucid is pictured). Guess it's been a while since the author used it!

Nobody reads all of the release notes. They see" ubuntu compatible " and think it must be ubuntu......

Great post about Wifi adapter D-link DWA-140 help. Thank you tempestuous cause I dont use wifi at all!!!

OK, I take that back.I have used wifi today for the first time with macpup 511. No problems connecting and the wlan module worked too.

If it were me I would try and team up with the MacPup team and just release that as the main Puppy Linux.

Surely excellent thoughts regarding MacPup ( YAY! ), but great comments over all about Puppy and the "Puppy Experience" - even if the poor guy doesn't exactly understand that nobody is really being forced to use "root". After all, what is "Spot" for?

( For the record: The day my machine doesn't allow me to delete a file or do what I want - it's going out the window - regardless the OS on it! Only IMVHO of course! )

No more su or sudo , embrace the power of ROOT. It's my computer ,it should do what I want !

The best place to get the .iso is from our site . We dont do direct linking to keep from overloading our servers. If you cant handle that google macpup there are tons of other sites that have it.

I am very pleased to release a new set of wallpapers. These Wallpapers are the work of Louis King Jr who is also doing work for Pclinuxos & Bodhi linux.He has been kind enough to share his work with us. These Wallpapers where tweaked for macpup by my good friend CatDude. They are in .edj format and install directly into /root/.e/e/backgrounds and are avalible in the settings manager right after install. Enjoy the MP511-LKJR-1.pet.
