BTW. Where's that background of a Revenge Puppy, folks?

I'm sure you have an image in your mind of Noirette. I wonder if you have a photo?

Like you, my ability to draw leave much to be desired. But I'm rather good at searching and using gimp or mtpaint to cut and paste. IIRC, gimp has a tool which can be used to transform a photo image into one more like a drawing. Perhaps mtpaint has something similar. Googling "Bulldog Greyhound mix" >Imagess --figured the legs could be shortened-- generated many hits, regretfully not all actually images of Bulldog Greyhound cross-breeds. For example, http://www.dogsblog.com/mia-46/ But, maybe just as well as some of the images already had short legs.

Maybe, if we had an image of what you have in mind one of the PuppyLinux Artists would have an model to work from.

Hi mikeslr.

Thanks for your kind reply.

I have old pictures of Noirette in black and white in a box in the "attic". Unfortunately, it
would be difficult for me to access them at the moment.

The "Mia" mixed-breed Greyhound-Bulldog you found has pretty much Noirette's build
and size. Maybe Noirette's nose was a tiny bit longer than Mia's?

She also looked a bit like in the attached pic, if we imagine the brown coat as black
instead. Her chest was broader/deeper than this fellow, too, like Mia's. You couldn't run
after Dad's old 1956 Chrysler for half a mile -- and pass it at ~ 25 mph! -- if you didn't
have deep lungs and fantastic runnring legs!!!

She passed us, went about 200 ft ahead of us, then turned around and waited for us.
Clever girl! Dad had to stop the car! This girl was NOT staying home alone in the yard
when the rest of the family was going for a car ride! I opened the back passenger door
and she jumped right in! She was so happy!

The situation was that we were going back to the grocery store to pick up an item mom
had forgotten for a recipe. We would have been back in five minutes, but Noirette did
not know that, of course.

It was approx. 4:55 on a Saturday afternoon and all stores closed at five in those days,
hence our hurry. We thought Noirette's rope in the yard was strong, but she had bitten
through it!

Or God forbid, a Puppy "à la Mondrian, 2nd period"?Image

Puppy talent has dried up, eh? :(

try smaller with same apps. These ISOs are not bare, everything needed for daily usage is available.. In a Puppy Linux spirit..
In lonely days Puppy asked to be compared with Bigger OS, and Puppy was the winner..

Australian shepherd, AFAICT. Like the two Aussie sisters I had the privilege of owning (?) - Chloe and Osa (my avatar). Finest creatures to walk the face of the earth.

Hi Darry.

i was thinking: "What would happen if we replaced the head of each model in that
picture with the head of a dog?"

Libel? Uproar? Blame by the #MeToo movement? Mondrian turns in his grave?

Maybe we should colorize it too.

Hi all,

following musher0's request, I felt inspired to create some wallpapers for Puppies and Dogs.

They show the face of a dog named Chico, who was killed by German authorities in April of this year.
For me it symbolizes what those in power do to us all.

The dog was obviously abused for ten years, for his whole life, and finally found while his two owners were dead.
German authorities claim, the dog had killed them both by biting, but I can't imagine how the injuries should have looked like.
Then the authorities confiscated the dog and killed him shortly afterwards, despite 290.000 people signed a petition to not let them kill him. Some people wanted to give him a new home.
German authorities were at fault beforehand, because someone reported the owners to them for abusing the dog, and they did not intervene.

If Chico really killed his owners, they deserved it, like Christine Wels, a long time horse abuser, who got killed by a horse in the end.

Regards,
Bernhardiner

Thanks for the pictures of Chico, Bernhardiner, and for making us aware
of his story.

Too many supposedly "family pets" around the world are actually martyrs
of their owner's neglect and/or psychological deviance... And as you
mention, some Animal Welfare Departments in many countries are much
less intelligent than the animals they are supposed to take care of.

I'm not ready to publish the xenialPup-706 "Modular" yet, but I'm keeping
your blue and your white renditions of the dog Chico for later. Nice idea to
use the canvas effect on those, it makes the pictures look more "classical"
(IMO).

I'm also keeping for later your "Kandinski"-type picture with the "color
splashes" on dark blue background. (The one second from bottom.)

Nice work! Good continuation, Bernhardiner!

Hallo, musher0.

D'you have a name in mind for this stripped-down Pup of yours, yet?

Since I put all my own desktop backgrounds together, from scratch, for every single Pup in my kennels, I'll see what I can 'come up with' for you, if you like.....but I'm not that good at the 'blue-sky' stuff. I know the kinda things I like for my own Puppies, but it wouldn't necessarily be to anybody else's taste.

So; how's about a few 'pointers'? (*groan*)

Hi musher0,

May I make a recommendation?

How would it be to remove the usual games which are in most Puppies, PicPuz and Xsoldier, and replace them with Morris?
