Just wondering if you have an updated version for puppy4.0
I tried it and it installed and ran fine but whats missing from the base version of puppy 4.0 since its so different than 3.0 series
it would be nice if you had a all in one package with all the formats that you listed plus the program in 1 pet package.
The reason why is I tried Gnomalize and well it used over 40MB of packages.
This should be way smaller

I will try to work on it when I get a chance. Like I've said before the code is all over the place on this one so I'd rather start over but I'll see what I can do.

Now that I think about it, the program will probably work if you just install sox.

Sox is here:

Puppy 4 still has ffmpeg & lame.

I installed the SoX .pet in Puppy 4 alpha 6 and got this warning. Also SoX will not start from the command line, even with the -help option, because it says the libsamplerate library is missing.

Once I do get SoX to work, do I enter the same options as I would on the command line, in the SoX window in PawdioConverter? I'm not clear as to the format. An example would be helpful. For instance, what would I put in the PawdioConverter SoX tab window if I wanted to convert high-res stereo mp3 to 32 kbps mono mp3?

This is an old program that I wrote but need to start over from scratch on it since the code is all over the place. If you have pmetatagger 2.0 installed I have a simple bash script that you can use which will retain the tags. You can find it in the pmetatagger thread at:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 31&t=24291

You can find the script on page 6 of that thread. You'll need to modify the INPUT line on the script but it should be pretty straightforward.

I downloaded and installed PawdioConverter-1.2.pet but when I tried to select an "m4a" file the file name was greyed out so I couldn't select it.
Then I downloaded faac-1.25.pup but when I tried to install the only reaction I got was the hint to install dotpuphandler first, which, in fact, is already installed.
How can I get PawdioConverter to convert m4a files? Or install a plugin or library that can do this?
Following the link for faad
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 55&t=14970
The subsequent download link ended in a Page Load Error.

PawdioConverter as I downloaded it can do this. See beginning of this thread for download link.

Also Menu -> Multimedia -> Pcdripper can convert wav to mp3.
