How about meownux, or felinux or may be even Felix?nooby wrote:Pussycat wikipedia says
Pussycat is a common term for a cat.
Pussy wikipedia says
Pussy is an English word meaning:
* Cat
* The human female genitalia, for the slang term related to genital anatomy.
* Pejoratively, cowardice or weakness as an insult in general
So the name should be Pussycat Linux.
Edit but to be consistent with Puppy Linux it should refer to a Cat puppy so them maybe are referred to as kitten?

in ordinary language????? would become KittyCat Linux?
Edit II
I used to be everywhere. Now I do my best to only post on things that I know enough or on things I want to know and before that I posted on things I knew nothing so a slight improvement. Sorry.
Yes the polite thing is to let the Dev of a thing to decide on the name.sc0ttman wrote:How about "Pussy Linux" as that is what sickgut has chosen!
I find it an unfortunate choice of name as well, and will not even try it based on that alone.nooby wrote:Yes the polite thing is to let the Dev of a thing to decide on the name.sc0ttman wrote:How about "Pussy Linux" as that is what sickgut has chosen!
But if that name makes it almost impossible for a lot of person to make use of it then one can in a friendly humorous way tease the name maker a bit and he change it to KittyCat Linux whatever.
Hmmm are we saying Justin Bieber is a pussy?sickgut wrote:just a quick note to let yall know there is an easter egg in the usb flash drive .img install that explains the "Less Lonely" codename a little.
Did you use the copy to ram or the normal live boot? Yes the asthetic stuff isnt suposed to be bigh quality, its a raw base ready to be turned into a Puppy so i have deliberately left it all standard, im sorry but you should have atleast glanced at the release notes on the site as it states plain as day and ive all ready mentioned 2 times directly on this thread that the user and password is root and pussySylvander wrote:Would it be possible to include the ability to CHOOSE if/when to save the session back to the pupsave...
Either during the session and/or at shut-down/reboot?
I do this at the moment in Lupu-525.
Tried booting the CD a few minutes back.
Wasn't impressed.
Low quality splash screen.
Slow to boot.
Got to a flashing underscore, nor sure what to do, entered the command startx on the off chance, and that seemed to work.
Then it wanted me to input a password, and I didn't know it.
Gave up and blanked the CD-RW disk.
